Mayor Square
Major Square is located in the centre of the oldest part of the city and it is the biggest open air area in the place.  Because of this, it was used for many different purposes, for example slave trade, commerce of varied merchandise, military exhibitions, etc. Thanks to its Portuguese style, different from the traditional Spanish checkered floor, the streets and alleys' design were favourable to protect themselves from the coastal attacks.
